Gràcia: It is one of the most picturesque areas of the city: the original nucleus was the Convent of Saint Mary de Gràcia, of 1626; around it houses and farms arose and the small hamlet began to grow. In 1850 it obtained independence, which it kept for half a century until being annexed by Barcelona.
Today it is a charming area, with lively streets and squares full of bars and cafés. The area has jealously conserved its traditions.
